Personal Note:
Dr. Richard Emtman was born in Spokane and went to high school In Quincy. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the
Honors Program at Washington State University with a BS in Zoology. He participated in the WAMI program and obtained his MD through the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has practiced
Family Medicine in Pullman since 1984.
Dr. Emtman is a lifelong resident of Eastern Washington. His practice has
more recently focused on pediatrics and adult medicine with
special-interest in sports medicine, diabetes, asthma and acne
treatment. Rick and his wife Kathy have two sons and have been
active in Boy Scouts, church activities, snow and water sports and
travel.
